Listing policy

Who can list

Only the owner of a property, or an agent with the owner's written permission, may list it. MYRENTA may ask for proof of ownership or authority at any time.

Accurate information

Listings must describe the home truthfully. In particular:

• The address, unit, number of bedrooms and bathrooms must be correct.
• The annual rent shown must be the full rent, with no hidden agency, legal or caution fees added later without disclosure.
• Photos must be of the actual home and reasonably current.
• Amenities such as power, water and parking must be described as they are.

One listing per home

The same landlord, address and unit may only be listed once. Duplicate listings are blocked automatically.

Not allowed

We remove listings, and may suspend accounts, for:

• Homes that don't exist, are already let, or that the lister has no right to let.
• Asking renters to pay deposits, inspection or agency fees outside MYRENTA before a lease is agreed.
• Discriminatory wording about tribe, religion, gender, disability or marital status.
• Misleading prices, photos or descriptions.

Review and approval

MYRENTA reviews listings before they are marked verified. We may unpublish or archive a listing while we investigate a report.

Reporting a listing

If a listing looks wrong or suspicious, use the Contact page or the report option on the listing. We review every report.
